Animal Control
The Sumter County Animal Control Division is located at 1240 Winkles Road, in Sumter, SC. Animal Control Officers respond to calls involving: vicious animals running at large, dog or cat bites, and nuisance animals. The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office currently has one full time civilian Animal Control Officer and one part time civilian Animal Control Officer to handle these concerns. The Sheriff’s Office is also committed to addressing issues of animal neglect, cruelty, and fighting, which will be handled by other divisions within the department.
