On May 2, 2002 Pete Osteen, a 65 year old white male was reported missing by his family.   Family members last saw him in the early morning hours of May 1, 2002 leaving his residence in his burgundy over black (in color) Chevrolet pickup truck.   Mr. Osteen was a private contractor and was working in the Dalzell area of Sumter County, SC.   He was to travel to Dillon County, SC on May 1, 2002 to place a bid on a job, but never made it to the location.   On May 11, 2002, Mr. Osteen's body was found along with his pickup truck in a barn in the Dalzell area.

UNKNOWN PERSONS...

On August 9, 1976 an unidentified white male and white female were found on a dirt road ½ mile from Interstate 95 and SC Hwy 341 in Sumter County. Both victims were shot multiple times. The male victim was wearing a ring with the initials “JPF” and the ring appeared to be far eastern design.

Harrison Butler, Sr.

Harrison Butler Sr. was a Black male, Age 76, Height 5' 9”, Weight 175, Hair Gray, Beard Gray, Eyes Brown.   He was last seen June 12, 1988 at 12:30 PM wearing green pants, plaid shirt, black cap with a red center and black shoes.   Mr. Butler was last seen leaving his residence, on foot, headed towards Sumter.   Mr. Butler has mental problems.

Richard Gary, Jr.

Richard Gary Jr. is a Black Male, Height 6' 0”, Weight 175, Hair Black, Eyes Brown.   Mr. Gary was last seen leaving his residence at 4380 Rosewood Drive on November 1994 at 7:30 PM.   He was driving a 1980 Oldsmobile Regency which was later recovered in a field off St. Paul Church Road.   Mr. Gary was wearing a black leather coat, beige pants and a white hat.   He has only one leg and is a diabetic.

Teresa Shannon is a White Female, Age 49, Height 5' 9”, Weight 275 lbs, Hair brown, Eyes green.   Mrs. Shannon was last seen on February 4, 1999 at the Western Sizzlin Steak House in Lugoff, SC.   She was driving a 1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass, Burgundy, 2 door, bearing SC tags 605-CJY.   It is not known what type of clothing she was wearing.

Richard Edward McCray

Richard McCray was a Black Male, Height 5' 9”, Weight 140 lbs, Hair Black, Eyes brown.   Mr. McCray was last seen entering a wooded area at Hwy 521 North & Ellerbe Road in Rembert, SC on December 27, 1999 at 4:00 pm.   He was wearing a navy blue hooded coat.   Mr. McCray was on medication and may have been disoriented.

Inez Miller lived at 3905 Mt. Sinai Church Road, Lynchburg, SC.   She is a Black Female, Age 95, Height 4'9”, Weight 110 lbs, Hair Black, Eyes Brown.   She was last seen wearing a light blue sweat shirt, blue pants, light blue/gray tennis shoes, pink dress and hair rollers in her hair.   Mrs. Miller was last seen at her residence on March 10, 2000 @ 3:00 pm

"John Doe #2"

On March 25, 2005 at 8:15 PM on Interstate I-95 this person was involved in a vehicle accident in Sumter County, SC.   He was driving a 1993 white Chev. Van with Florida Tag X2O MEB headed North.   He was a Hispanic Male, Height 6'0”, Weight 190, Bald head, Mustache.

UNSOLVED DBL MURDER...
James W. Andrews &
Kenneth Andrews

On April 3, 1992, James Andrews, a 50 year old white male and his 17 year old son, Kenneth Andrews, were found murdered at their convenience store, Kwik Fare, located on the Pinewood Road and Kolb Road in Sumter County.   The victims appeared to have been shot with a .38 caliber weapon.   It is believed that the murders took place between the hours of 10:00 pm and 11:15pm.

On August 24, 1978, Maxie Graham was reported missing from his home in Pinewood, SC.   Investigators believe that Graham may have left his home on August 8, 1978 with another man identified only as “Scott”.   They may have been in a two-tone pick-up truck.   Graham was 26 years old at the time of his disappearance and was 5’ 10 “ tall and weighed 150 lbs.
